Coach Cotton's Story
I’m Jharel Cotton, a professional baseball pitcher with 4 years of Major League service time. My journey to the big leagues began in my hometown of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, where I first discovered my passion for the game. After honing my skills through high school in Virginia and then at East Carolina University, I was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2012, marking the start of my professional career.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of playing for multiple MLB teams, I debuted with the Oakland Athletics in 2016 and went on to play for the Rangers, Twins, and Giants.
Beyond the mound, I’m committed to giving back to my community and inspiring young athletes. I believe in the power of hard work, perseverance, and maintaining a positive mindset.
I began Big Dawgz Training because I’m passionate about helping athletes reach their full potential. With years of experience and a journey filled with challenges, I’ve learned what it takes to succeed both on and off the mound.
